We do not need magic to change the world, we carry all the power we need inside ourselves already: we have the power to imagine better. This genius woman. J. K. Rowling you're my favourite author. You forever will be.Find more of my books on Instagram

I cannot criticize my parents for hoping that I would never experience poverty. They had been poor themselves, and I have since been poor, and I quite agree with them that it is not an ennobling experience. Poverty entails fear, and stress, and sometimes depression; it means a thousand petty humiliations and hardships. Climbing out of poverty by your own effortsthat is something on which to pride yourself, but poverty itself is romanticized only by fools.J.K. RowlingCommencement addressHarvard

Well worth the fifteen (okay, ten) minutes it takes to read.In addition, if you want a starting point to have a conversation with your middle or high school age kid, read this together. Listen to what your kid says. Rinse. Lather. Repeat. Just an idea.

Amazing. Inspirational. Wonderful. Read it!

"And rock bottom became the solid foundation on which I rebuilt my life." All the people in J.K Rowling's life must feel so incredibly blessed. I would. As a die-hard Harry Potter fan, I have read a lot about J.K and her fascinating life before all the Harry Potter craziness.
