The Anatomical Shape of a Heart
REALLY enjoyed Bennett's debut foray into YA. Not only is it swoon-worthy, sex-positive, and unique in its casting of hero and heroine, but it's also family-centric and impeccably well-written. Can't wait to see what else Bennett has in store for us, both Adult and YA. ;)
This is romance done right. The characters actually become friends and date before they fall madly in love! Huzzah!
3.75/5 Stars.Night Owls is a typical YA contemporary book, and here's why I think that:-Insta-love ✅-Cheesy lines ✅-Too much drama ✅-ClichĂ©ed events ✅-Predictable twists ✅But despite all this did I still enjoy the heck out of this book? You bet!The first Jenn Bennett book that I read was ''Alex, Approximately" which was nearly 2 years ago, and I loved everything about that book, it easily became one of my favorite books of that year. However, I knew I should'nt get my hopes up for this book,
Ive been a fan of Jenn Bennett ever since her first Arcadia Bell book (which seems like a million years ago), but I never expected her to try her hand in young adult fiction. Foolish of me, I suppose. Why wouldnt she, when shes so good at everything else she puts her mind to writing? From the very first advanced readers copy that fell into a reviewers hand, The Anatomical Shape of a Heart (internationally titled Night Owls, which I prefer), has been getting nothing but rave reviews. And with
4.5*This was a really great unique love story! I really really enjoyed it!!!

Interpretation In Pursuance Of Books The Anatomical Shape of a Heart
Beatrix Adams knows exactly how she’s spending the summer before her senior year. Determined to follow in Da Vinci’s footsteps, she’s ready to tackle the one thing that will give her an advantage in a museum-sponsored scholarship contest: drawing actual cadavers. But when she tries to sneak her way into the hospital’s Willed Body program and misses the last metro train home, she meets a boy who turns her summer plans upside down. Jack is charming, wildly attractive, and possibly one of San Francisco’s most notorious graffiti artists. On midnight buses and city rooftops, Beatrix begins to see who Jack really is—and tries to uncover what he’s hiding that leaves him so wounded. But will these secrets come back to haunt him? Or will the skeletons in her family’s closet tear them apart?Define Books As The Anatomical Shape of a Heart

What, exactly, is the anatomical shape of a heart? I can tell you. It's a bloodied splat on the floor, with gory little pieces of bodily tissue everywhere because that's what it looks like after I've stomped on the figurative heart within this book for 10 minutes after having read it.Do you like manie pixie dream girls? For those who don't know what those are, here's a good definition taken from Wikipedia.
