Commentary Toward Books Black Moon (Alpha Pack #3)

A group of former Navy SEALS, the Alpha Pack is a top-secret team of wolf shifters with Psy powers combating the greatest dangers in the world. But sometimes those dangers are more intimate than they bargained for… Ever since he saved Dr. Mackenzie Grant’s life, panther shifter and sorcerer Kalen Black has had trouble keeping the beautiful doctor out of his thoughts, and his heart. The brush with death awakened an intense passion between them—one that for the first time had the notorious loner letting down his guard. With the Alpha Pack battling an evil Fae who is slowly gaining control over Kalen’s mind, Kalen can no longer trust his own actions, and he breaks off his affair with Mackenzie in order to keep her safe. But when Mackenzie learns that she is carrying Kalen’s child, no amount of danger will keep her away from the man she loves. To protect his mate and unborn child, Kalen will have to battle a terrible evil, unleash the full fury of his power, and risk destroying them all…

Commentary Regarding Books Black Moon (Alpha Pack #3)
Both the main characters are super stupid and annoying. Honestly. They make the same stupid mistakes over and over. I got so angry with them.A couple of examples: the heroine is a former psychologist but never acts like one - very reactionary and not very mature. Then the hero keeps going back to the bad guy (and drinking his damn blood) over and over despite knowing the risks. Also, the way he responds sexually to the bad guy trying to seduce him over to the dark side at the end was icky (it

3.5 A great add to this phenomenal series. This story was very touching. I really wanted it to be longer.

Looking at some of the reviews I see I agree with many -- yes Kalen is angst filled and he has every right to be -- kicked out of his home at 14 and forced to live on the street and do whatever he needed to do to feed himself. That is a harsh life and needs to be taken into consideration. His mother abandoned him and the only person who gave any kind of love was his grandmother who gave him a necklace that she told him never to take off because it would protect him. Well yes that is pretty harsh

4.5 StarsThis review was posted at Under the CoversThe Alpha Pack has quickly become one of my favorite shifter series! The characters are all unique, interesting and sexy in their own way. The world and how it integrates shifters that have certain special abilities is fantastic. And the stories in each book always keep me on toes.I should warn you that I have a soft spot for this man. Kalen Black is a perfect dark hero. I fell in love with him from the very beginning and Ive been dying to read

The darkest of the books so far, for sure. I didn't like nor get the sexual component that Malik brought to this story and after learning just where he fit into Kalen's life, that shit squeaked me the eff out. But aight. I'm on to the next.

I was really disappointed with Kalen's book, I think I became bored very quickly in the beginning with regard to Kalen's weakness to Malik. I'm hoping the next book will make up for the disappointment.

I wouldn't have pegged Black Moon as the book that ended my 'great reads' streak. If you haven't read the other books in the Alpha Pack series, do NOT bother with this one. There's very little character introduction or world explanations. Since Mac's and Kalen's relationship actually began in a previous book (which one I don't remember), there's also barely any relationship development. The whole book basically revolves around Kalen and Malik, with Mac kinda wedged in there for the sex scenes or
