في حضور الوجدان تتألق معاني أحلام مستغانمي، وفي ذاكرة الجسد تتوج حضورها، حروفاً كلمات عبارات تتقاطر في حفل الغناء الروحي. موسيقاه الوطن المنبعث برغم الجراحات... مليون شهيد وثورة ومجاهد، وجزائر الثكلى بأبنائها تنبعث زوابع وعواصف الشوق والحنين في قلب خالد الرسام الذي امتشق الريشة بعد أن هوت يده التي حملت السلاح يوماً، والريشة والسلاح سيّان، كلاهما ريشة تعزف على أوتار الوطن. ففي فرنسا وعندما كان يرسم ما تراه عيناه، جسر ميرابو ونهر السين، وجد أن ما يرسمه هو جسراً آخر ووادياً آخر لمدينة أخرى هي قسنطينة، فأدرك لحظتها أنه في كل حال لا يرسم ما نسكنه، وإنما ما يسكننا. وهل كانت أحلام مستغانمي تكتب ذاكرة الجسد أم أنها تكتب ذاكرة الوطن؟!! الأمر سيّان فما الجسد إلا جزء من الوطن وما الوطن إلا هذا الجسد الساكن فيه إلى الأبد. تتقاطر الذكرى مفعمة بروح الماضي الذي يأبى إلا الحضور في كل شيء متجسداً السي طاهر التي كما عرفها خالد طفلة رجل قاد خطواته على درب الكفاح؛ عرفها أنثى... كانت من الممكن أن تكون حبيبته، زوجته، ولكنها باتت زوجة في زواج لم يحضره، تلف الذكرى الصفحات، وتتهادى العبارات ممسكة بتلابيب الذكريات دون أن توقظ النفس ملل الحضور. الوطن والحبيبة يجتمعان، والثورة والحب ينصهران في بوتقة واحدة، ومزيجهما عطاء فكري، بعيد عن الخيال، للواقع أقرب، وللإنسان في صدق مشاعره وأحاسيسه أقرب وأقرب.Rating Epithetical Books ذاكرة الجسد (ثلاثية ذاكرة الجسد #1)

Straight to my 'Favorites list'.Ahlam Mosteghanemi, you're brilliant.Your words are intoxicating, I highlighted so many passages.The storyline, though it went in a slow pace, your words, poems and dialogues made up for it.I went through an emotional turmoil reading it, by the time I was finishedI was emotionally and mentally exhausted and I enjoyed every second of it.The first novel I read by you, definitely not the last.There are bridges which we cannot burn down after crossing them, because they stay inside us, like a memory. There are countries which we live and countries which live in us, so says Khaled. The one he lives in is France, against whom he fought in order the break her chains from Algiers, which is the one living in him. His language is French, the manacle he cannot free himself after all those years while Arabic is almost forgotten. Even his mistress is French, but the France gave him everything
"Thakiratu el-Djassad" is an excellent novel...It is a combination of poetry and narration in the same time...The ornements of this novel are Customs and traditions of the city of Constantine that the writer belongs to.
ما زلت ارى ان اسلوب احلام اكبر من حجم فكره الروايات نفسها و على الرغم من الامور المتضاده في شخصيات كل من ذكر هنا الا انها اعجبتني
What I love most about her novels is the way she writes. Simply, captivating! But, the problem with Ahlam as an author is the repetitions! I've read two of her novels and It's always the same story, same characters, same ending! I was bored half way through! Hence, the rating of three stars.
2.5/5 stars. Definitely not one of my favorites,but has some merits.
One of the best and most sensual Arabic books I have ever read. I read it over 9 years ago and is still stuck in my head.
