Description During Books A Walk to Remember

There was a time when the world was sweeter...when the women in Beaufort, North Carolina, wore dresses, and the men donned hats...when something happened to a seventeen-year-old boy that would change his life forever. Every April, when the wind blows in from the sea and mingles with the scent of lilacs, Landon Carter remembers his last year at Beaufort High. It was 1958, and Landon had already dated a girl or two. He even swore that he had once been in love. Certainly the last person in town he thought he'd fall for was Jamie Sullivan, the daughter of the town's Baptist minister. A quiet girl who always carried a Bible with her schoolbooks, Jamie seemed content living in a world apart from the other teens. She took care of her widowed father, rescued hurt animals, and helped out at the local orphanage. No boy had ever asked her out. Landon would never have dreamed of it. Then a twist of fate made Jamie his partner for the homecoming dance, and Landon Carter's life would never be the same. Being with Jamie would show him the depths of the human heart and lead him to a decision so stunning it would send him irrevocably on the road to manhood. No other author today touches our emotions more deeply than Nicholas Sparks. Illuminating both the strength and the gossamer fragility of our deepest emotions, his two New York Times bestsellers, The Notebook and Message in a Bottle, have established him as the leading author of today's most cherished love stories. Now, in A Walk to Remember, he tells a truly unforgettable story, one that glimmers with all of his magic, holding us spellbound-and reminding us that in life each of us may find one great love, the kind that changes everything...

Evaluation Regarding Books A Walk to Remember
A very emotional story that will rip your heart.I was so engrossed in the book where I was not aware until the story end.A very touching romance.

You have to promise you won't fall in love with me. You are heading towards an unprecedented calamity. You have a vague premonition of the emotional wreckage you'll suffer in no time at all. Yet you go against your sense of foreboding and end up having an irreparably broken heart at the end. This recapitulates my bittersweet experience reading A Walk to Remember.Nicholas Sparks used to be too mainstream and overrated an author for my taste. I decided to read this novel on a whim after watching

listen,,,a walk to remember, the 2002 movie, is a favorite film. it makes me cry. ugly cry. it makes me realize how ugly yet beautiful love is.years later, i finally read the book.preferably, i enjoyed the movie more.the book didn't make me cry, the movie did. i wish it was the opposite...but, it's not the case with this book.i'm still giving this 5 stars.i guess it's cause i've seen the movie, which is always a bad idea to do first.i guess it's because i knew what was gonna happen, even if the

A Walk to Remember, Nicholas Sparks The story starts with a prologue from Landon Carter at age 57. The remainder of the story takes place when Landon is a 17-year-old high school senior. Landon lives in the small, religious town of Beaufort, North Carolina. His father is a genial, charismatic congressman. Landon's father is not around very much, as he lives in Washington, D.C. Landon is more reclusive, which causes some tension in their relationship. Landon's father pressures him into running

given that i have watched the movie multiple times before, this book is not what I expected to read. the are so many differences between both the movie and the book. the book is special but I love the movie way more. The movie meant a lot to me than the book did.

A Walk to Remember details the story of Jamie Sullivan, a preacher's daughter who seems to know everything, and Landon Carter, the boy who would never be tempted by Jamie in real life. The plot is predictable enough, even if you haven't seen the movie. I won't spoil the ending here, but it leaves quite a lot to be desired.I wanted to like this book, since so many people I knew enjoyed it, but I ended up hating it. The material was far too idyllic in some parts, and overly sanguine in others. I

♪♫♪I'll always remember It was late afternoon It lasted forever And ended too soon. CRY, Mandy MooreThe song Cry, perfectly describes A Walk To Remember. It was short, but it would definitely be etched in my cranium for forever.Who wouldnt know Landon Carter and Jamie Sullivan? In the movie, they were cast as Mandy Moore and Shane West.[image error]I remember it being a hit when I was in high school years ago. I watched the movie and loved it. I knew there was a book, but I only had a chance to
