Relation In Pursuance Of Books Morningstar (Ciclo Drenai (chronological order) #2)

Morning star, David Gemmell The Angostin hordes raged over the Southern Borders. Evil sorcery ruled, and the vampyre kings lived once more. The Highland people were in much need of a great hero. Jarek Mace needed nothing and no one—not even that bard Owen Odell, with whom he now traveled. But when Mace harassed the Angostins for his own purposes, he inadvertently aided the Highland people. And now he was being hailed as a hero, a legend, the great Morningstar returned. But Owen Odell knew the real man behind the people's tales. Mace was an outlaw, a bandit, a heartless thief. He was no savior of the people. He was no legend. Or was he? ا.

Write Up Of Books Morningstar (Ciclo Drenai (chronological order) #2)
As a massive fan of David Gemmell, I snapped this book up, hoping as ever that it was an undiscovered gem. Sadly, it wasnt. Its a book that sees the author working on autopilot, taking familiar themes and a familiar, well-worn storyline and crafting a tale that is pacy and exciting but simply lacking that extra spark that made other books from the author shine. Thats not to say its a bad book; Gemmell at his most average is still miles better than many other fantasy writers, and this book has

David Gemmell's fantasy works are all really fun to read, and I'm still at the stage with him where I can run into a book of his I've never read before in every library I sign up to. Morningstar is a stand-alone fantasy work, though it's set in the same world as Knights of Dark Renown (the Knights of the Gabala are mentioned, as a legend, anyway), with a self-contained and pretty satisfying plot. It's partially based on Robin Hood stories, and I think you could make an argument that it's part

One of the best books I have ever read

Well, this was different. This second book in the chronological list of the Drenai series was told from the point of view of a bard, Owen Odell, rather than from the omniscient POV Id become used to from David Gemmell. I have to admit I was curious what the story would be like.Owen Odell is a bard who was one of the companions of a legendary hero, the Morningstar. Owens POV was interesting and witty. Though at times he was a bit naive, he told the true story of the Morningstar, the man behind

About 3.75. A fun tale! The thing I liked most was Owens narration, I actually laughed out loud at the beginning of the book- the humour fades away though as the tale gets more series. I still didnt love Jared Mace that much, though I liked some of the discussion of the flawed hero trope.
